For who doesn't know the
importance of the difference between them, well, you reached the right
page, we'll try to explain which, we think, is the point: basically, all
suppliers are, potentially, partners, the key point is if they know
it or not and if they act as partners or not. The only word that make the
difference is "cooperation".
-
Suppliers: they give you something, whether
product or service, that you'll pay, no matter if it is exactly
what you was looking for or simply what it was supposed to be, they sale
what they have, and that's all.
-
Partners: they
give you something, whether product or
service, that you'll pay, it is always exactly
what you was looking for because they know what, for YOU, it was
supposed to be, they sale what YOU need, and that's all.
Moreover, according to ISO
requirements, we settled up the "Qualified Suppliers" record
system, in a way that give more weight to a partner than a ISO qualified
supplier, by using a set of indicators, based on a scoring system that
gives the maximum points to who "solve problems" rather than
simply "delivery on time".
