Engineering

Engineering The technical dept. with its team of mechanical engineers is always focused in the research of new systems in order to quicker design and manufacture safer devices. The sentence “safety first” is the exact synthesis of our objective in any possible interpretation for both point of view: as user as well as manufacturer.

Design

The Quick Opening Closures design as well as the Pressure Vessel's projects are developed according to Market & Customer's required Design Codes which could be ASME VIII div. 1 or 2, EN 13445, ANSI B31.3 - 4 - 8 and so on, if necessary sensitive data are also validated by Notified Bodies as required by the final scope, i.e. European Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC (PED) or 94/9/EC (ATEX).

Finite Element Module analysis (FEM)

COSMOSWorks® is a powerful, easy-to-use design validation and optimization software fully embedded within SolidWorks® software. It offers a wide spectrum of powerful tools to help engineers who are familiar with design validation concepts to perform virtual testing and analysis of parts and assemblies. The use of COSMOSWorks® is perfect to predict the physical behavior of practically any part or assembly under any loading condition.

In addition to the design validation capabilities included COSMOSWorks® offers drop test, design optimization, thermal heat transfer, thermal stress, vibration, buckling, and fatigue analysis providing significant product quality benefits; enabling engineers to detect design problems in less time than a prototype could be built. This practice enables faster, less costly, and more optimized product development, as well as more in-depth examination of product performance than would ever be possible using even the most detailed prototypes, so we found it as the perfect tool to improve design quality, avoid field failures, reduce material costs and shorten time-to-market.

Validation

The “real” product’s validation is made by a final pressure test. It can be both a prototype Burst Test or a simple Hydrostatic test, the results are recorded in a Microsoft Excel® diagram including extensimetric measurements when required. The Hydro-Testing tool is equipped with a 700 Bar air / water pump and can be upgraded up to max 3450 Bar. Additional Destructive or Non Destructive Examinations are usually developed according to the final product's purpose.
